The 2018 BMW M5 is a favorite among sport sedan buyers thanks to its powerful engine and excellent drive on the highways and twisty backroads. The new model is powered by a retuned turbocharged V8 that produces 600 hp and 553 lb-ft. of torque. The engine is mated to a standard 8-speed automatic transmission.
The 2018 M5 is available in a single configuration. Standard features of the five-seat sedan include a 10.2-inch touchscreen-based navigation system, ambient interior lighting, heated front seats and steering wheel, a head-up display, 20-way power front seats, a power trunklid, adaptive LED headlights, adaptive suspension and 19-inch wheels.
You can upgrade the M5 with the Driving Assistance Plus and the Executive packages. Adaptive cruise control, front and rear cross traffic alert and active lane assist are available on the Driving Assistance Plus package. The Executive package adds luxury features such as a surround-view camera system, automatic parking, soft-close doors, an onboard LTE data modem, wireless phone charging, and more.
The 2018 M5 accelerates from zero to 60 mph in 3.2 seconds and handles like a rear-wheel-drive car. The vehicle has an adjustable driving position and intuitive primary controls whose configurations can be saved.
